12 Beers of Christmas

12 Days. 12 New Releases.

Buckle up, grinches, here we go again!

Christmas is about the people, the laughter, and all the ridiculous things we do to make it special. And every December, we brew twelve more reasons to get together.

Fall River Brewing Co.’s 12 Beers of Christmas returns December 2–13! Twelve days. Twelve original releases. A different creation every day at all four Fall River locations. Each with its own character and a Christmas story you might recognize a little too well. And, of course, there’s the passport.

The 12 Beers of Christmas Release Schedule

  • “Because we always do it this way.” Which is how Christmas turns into a route that would wear out a UPS driver. Then you go rogue: “We’re staying put.” Just your favorite people, nowhere else to be, and Christmas feels like Christmas again. Your next stop: the fridge for this crisp Cold IPA with tropical fruit, berries, and a little pine from Vic Secret and Krush hops. You’re the Rebel Without a Claus. Let Santa make all the stops. Did you just start a new tradition?

  • “Let’s take a limo to look at lights!” Suddenly that stretch limo becomes Santa’s sleigh for your merry band of hooligans. Now you’re three neighborhoods and three beers deep, ranking every roofline, singing way too loud, and refusing to quit until you’ve seen every house on the map. Good thing this hazy lager rides shotgun: bright, smooth, and bursting with tropical citrus flavor from Nectaron, Nelson, and Riwaka hops. Sleigh Ride or Die. Buckle up, grinches. We’re not turning around.

  • “Delivered. My ass.” Empty porch. Chatbot? Useless. Customer service number? Menus, hold music, and finally a human who has no clue where your package is. You’re one “are you sure it’s not there?” from blowing a gasket when the doorbell rings. It’s a neighbor you barely know, holding the missing box. Well, shoot. Turns out your package wasn’t lost. It was one door off. Return the favor with this robust Porter, rich with chocolate, coffee, and cream. This time, you make the delivery.

  • “Wait. Who took ANOTHER piece?” Oh, hell no. That recipe came from the Old Country and was obsessively perfected by four generations. Everyone’s been waiting for this all year. Now Aunt Ethel has the pie server in her kung fu grip and Cousin Bobby’s calling dibs. Family harmony hangs by a crust. Before someone does something they’ll regret, broker a ceasefire with this lush, tart-and-creamy Cherry Ice Cream Pie Sour. Oh Holy Fight? Nah. Crisis averted.

  • “The elf!” You bolt awake because that little twerp is exactly where you left him. Now you’re army-crawling across the floor at oh-dark-thirty to stage a fresh scene before the kids wake up with questions you cannot afford to answer. When the mission’s complete and no one’s the wiser, this hazy IPA is your reward: juicy, bright, and bursting with mango, grapefruit, lime, melon, stonefruit, and passionfruit. Elf Around and Find Out? Not on your watch.

  • “I’m keeping it simple this year.” Riiiiight. Carols playing before the Thanksgiving turkey thaws. A nativity scene in the guest bathroom. 252 hand-decorated cookies. The grocery-store baggers made your gift list. You’re Christmas-maxxing so hard your friends are staging an intervention. Let ’em. You’ve got eleven other months for restraint. Christmas is for making people ridiculously happy. Keep your Jingle Bender merry and bright with this Tom Collins-style Fruited Cocktail.

  • “Wait. THAT’S your tree?!” And here we go. Cut it in the mountains? You’re crazy. Buy it at a lot? Why didn’t you cut your own? Pull a pre-lit tree from the closet? “You didn’t want a real one?” You’re not choosing a tree. You’re defending a belief system. But once the ornaments are on, your tree makes the whole house feel like Christmas. So crack this citrus-and-pine Pale Ale and let the other camps preach. Zero. Firs. Given. It’s your damn Christmas tree.

  • “Who did that to the reindeer?!” Your tasteful little illuminated herd has been...rearranged. You choke back a laugh and bolt outside to restore dignity before the neighbors and worse, your mother-in-law, get the full show. Apparently Christmas still brings out the kid in some people. Thank goodness. Raise a glass to the jolly pranksters with this tart, juicy Sour, packed with raspberry, blackberry, boysenberry, and tart cherry. Reindeer Rager? Looks like Blitzen had a fun night.

  • “Oh, by the way, they’re coming.” You’ve survived the shopping, parties, and whatever fresh hell the school calendar threw at you. Now you’re thinking, “WTF?!” as you count chairs, beds, and portions while saying, “The more the merrier!” They’re family, so you make it work. Once everyone’s settled, you’ve earned this bright West Coast IPA with hits of citrus, mango, lychee, melon, and white wine from El Dorado, Citra, and Nelson hops. You took this Holiday Haymaker like a champ.

  • The box said twenty minutes. Then came the microscopic instructions that required Google Translate to understand, missing parts, and misaligned holes. But someone’s face will make this whole disaster worth it, so you keep building. This crisp American lager is light, clean, and brewed for you: the poor soul assembling Christmas magic at 2:21 AM while everyone else sleeps. Some assembly regretted? Definitely. Worth it when they see it in the morning? Absolutely.

  • “Don’t. Sit. Down.” Too late. The second you hit the couch, every muscle clocks out. Even blinking feels ambitious. Everyone else must be running on nuclear Christmas power. The room erupts in laughter. Somebody yells your name. Again. They’re still celebrating without you. You’re wrecked, but you waited 364 days for this and you’re not missing it. Time for some Yule Fuel: this electric-teal Hard Soda with a blast of tart tropical lime. The couch will be there tomorrow. Christmas won’t.

  • “The end is near.” You’re nineteen hours in. You’ve survived wrapping-paper wreckage, early arrivals and late departures, surprise pop-ins, oven Tetris, and a tsunami of dishes. The house is finally quiet, everyone’s happy, and no one’s asking for anything. You’re exhausted, the place is trashed, but you wouldn’t change a thing. Close it out with this dark, heavyweight Stout layered with rich espresso. Silent Nightcap. One heckuva finish to a beautiful Christmas.
